A commercial door is a security, safety, and code component that gets used hundreds of times a day, and when it fails — a dragging closer, a broken panic bar, a storefront door out of alignment — it's a liability and a first-impression problem at once. Hollow metal doors and frames
Hollow metal doors and frames are the steel workhorses of a commercial building — back and service entrances, mechanical and electrical rooms, stairwells, and anywhere durability and security matter, and they're frequently fire-rated. They take abuse and hold up, but they have to be hung true in a solid frame to latch and seal.

Aluminum storefront and frameless glass (Herculite) doors
The glass entrances customers actually use come two ways: aluminum-framed storefront doors, and frameless tempered-glass doors — often called Herculite — that hang on top and bottom pivots with patch fittings and rails but no full frame. Both go out of alignment from constant daily use: dragging on the threshold, not latching, worn pivots and closers.

Replacing shattered tempered glass itself is a glazier's specialty; we handle the door assembly and its hardware.
Door closers
The closer is the single most common failure point on a commercial door — the device that controls how the door shuts. A worn or leaking closer slams, drags, fails to latch, or won't close at all, which is a security problem on any door and a fire-code problem on a rated one that has to self-close and latch.
We repair and replace surface-mounted and concealed door closers and adjust them properly — sweep speed, latch speed, and backcheck. We also set closers to the opening force accessibility requires, so a door isn't too heavy to be ADA compliant.
Panic and exit hardware
Panic and exit devices — the push bars on egress doors — let anyone get out of a building instantly, and code requires them on many commercial exits. When a panic bar sticks, doesn't latch, or is broken, it's both a life-safety failure and a security hole.
We install and repair panic bars and exit devices and their strikes and latches, so egress always works while the door still secures from the outside. These are mechanical exit devices; electrified exit hardware and any wiring are outside our scope, covered in the scope note below.
Fire-rated doors and ADA hardware
A fire-rated door is a complete assembly — the door, the frame, and the hardware all carry the rating together — used on stairwells, corridors, and fire separations. We install fire-rated door assemblies with the required self-closing and positive latching and the labels intact, because a rated door with the wrong hardware or a propped closer isn't rated anymore.
On accessibility, we handle the door-hardware side of ADA: lever handles instead of knobs, hardware at the correct mounting height, and closers set to the allowable opening force. Plus the everyday commercial door hardware — locksets, hinges, thresholds, and weatherstripping — that keeps a door working and sealed.
Repair, security, and what's out of scope
Much of commercial door work is repair: realigning a dragging storefront door, replacing a failed closer or panic bar, fixing bent frames and worn hardware, and re-securing doors that no longer lock properly — so entrances operate and secure the way they must.
One scope line, plainly: access control, electric strikes, magnetic locks, automatic operators, and any wiring are outside what we do.
